Artist Statement:
Manifesting the sublime feeling behind spirituality within nature is part of the big work and theme that I intend to go beyond and explore further in my study here as an art student. Behind this manifestation, was the backstory of my experience travelling as who I am beyond the comfort of my home country and as a sea nomad here in Singapore - diving into the oceans to collect the catch of the week, exploring different islands and spending the day on islets. Exploring different lands enabled a new channel to communicate to the Higher Power, of which it is of a huge significance in my life as a muslim here in Singapore. A chance to be able to craft this palpable sensation through detailed graphite studies is one of the many ways intended to portray the manifestation.
